Nusa Dhamma berarti Pulau Dhamma, Bhante Jagaro Mahathera membimbing masyrakat pemeluk Buddhis untuk lebih mengenal dan mendalami ajaran sang Buddha Gautama dengan menawarkan berbagai kegiatan keagamaan dan sosial. Vihara ini dipimpin oleh Bhante Jagaro Mahathera sejak tahun 1984, sejak mulai dibangunnya Vihara sampai hari ini.
